Ask someone what they'll accomplish this year and you get aspirations. Ask what they'll accomplish in the next 90 days and you get either a plan or an uncomfortable silence — which is the point. A quarter is close enough that you can't outsource the work to your future self, and long enough that the outcome can be substantial: a launched product, a filled pipeline, a finished manuscript, a transformed body of work.

This planner gives the 90 days a skeleton. Weeks 1–2 build momentum while the plan is fresh. Weeks 3–10 are the engine room, where the weekly score does the managing. Weeks 11–12 close hard against the deadline. Week 13 reviews the quarter and plans the next one, so consecutive quarters compound instead of restarting from zero.

What's inside this template

The quarter is the year

Everything in this planner follows from one reframe: there is no 'later this year'. Deadlines live inside the 90 days or they don't exist. That kills the classic annual-plan pathology where January's ambition meets October's panic — with a quarter, the equivalent of October arrives in week 10, early enough that the whole plan is still recoverable. Periodization like this is standard in athletics for a reason: intensity needs a finish line you can see.

A week-by-week structure, not 90 blank pages

Paper 90-day planners give you 90 identical daily spreads. This one is organized around the week, because the week is the real unit of execution: weeks 1–2 front-load the easiest wins to bank an on-track score early, weeks 3–10 run the recurring tactics that do the actual compounding, weeks 11–12 cut anything that no longer serves the lag measure, and week 13 is a scheduled review-and-replan, not a gap where momentum leaks out.

A score, not a journal

Most quarterly planners are reflection tools — gratitude prompts, intention pages, habit grids. Useful, but none of it tells you whether the plan is on track. This planner's core instrument is the weekly execution score: completed ÷ planned tactics, graded every Friday, with 85% as the on-track line. Reflection then has something concrete to work with, because 'how did the week go?' has a number for an answer.

Choosing what the 90 days are for

The hardest part of a 90-day plan is admitting what it isn't for. The template holds two goal slots and resists a third: a quarter of focused weekly effort moves one big thing enormously and three things barely at all. A good filter — if this goal succeeded and everything else merely didn't regress, would the quarter feel won? If the answer is no, you've picked a project, not a quarter-defining goal.

How to use it

    Pick 1–3 goals for the 90 days

    Each goal needs a lag measure — a number that will be checkably true or false on day 90. If everything is a priority, start with the one that would define the quarter.

    Write the weekly tactics

    For each goal, list 3–5 recurring actions that produce it. 'Talk to 3 prospects every week' beats 'do more customer research' — it can be scored.

    Set the weekly rhythm

    Book a recurring Monday planning slot (20 minutes) and a Friday scoring slot (15 minutes). These two appointments are the planner's engine.

    Run each week from the plan

    Work from the tactic list, checking items off as they're done. The day's question is never 'what should I do?' — the planner already answered it.

    Score Friday, adjust at week boundaries

    Grade the week (completed ÷ planned, 85%+ is on track), log blockers, and make plan changes only between weeks — never mid-week.

    Use week 13 to close and re-plan

    Review what the quarter produced, keep the tactics that worked, cut what didn't, and set the next 90 days while the lessons are fresh.
